Wacom proposes Active ES “Universal Pen Framework” in response to industry-wide needs for interoperability among various digital pens in the marketplace

(January 5th, 2015 – Las Vegas, USA) Wacom today announced “Universal Pen Framework” as a new initiative based on “Active ES” pen technology, Wacom’s unique capacitive pen solution, in response to the growing need for a high performance pen solution among IT industry players, such as tablet and smartphone manufacturers as well as touch controller suppliers, OS and application developers.

Wacom firmly believes in the role digital pens will play in IT mobile products and services in the future.
